WELCOME TO THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR!

Welcome from the CP Smith Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)!

The first PTO meeting of the year will take place on Monday, September 12, 2011, 6:30 p.m - 8:00 p.m. in the Learning Center. Childcare will be provided in the gym.

Introductions -- 5 minutes

Brief background regarding PTO activities -- 5 minutes

Report by School Commissioner Edward Scott -- 15 minutes

         To include:

        Additional planning time for teachers 

        Status of school assignment proposal

        Progress monitoring process

        NECAP

Staff Member report -- 5 minutes

Principal's report and Q&A -- 1 hour

Mr. Fleury will discuss the school schedule this year, including how much time is devoted to each core subject and special (music, art, p.e., Spanish, guidance etc.) and address attendees' questions.
