Communication with CP Smith and about CP Smith

There are two ways we encourage you to advocate for your child's school

First is through emailing the elected School Board Commissioners. This hard working group of people want what is best for Burlington schools but need to hear from you! During this time of working through the budget they need to know what you see as needs for CP Smith. We encourage you to send an email advocating that CP Smith gets it's equal and fair share of academic and financial support. Smith will not be on their radar until we respectfully ask them to give our school what it needs.

Your beliefs about what is needed may be different from that of your neighbors so we aren't telling you what to advocate for but to please advocate.

The second way to give feedback is through "Let's Talk". To the right of this post is the "Let's Talk" link. You can connect with the school board this way as well as any other department, school, or teacher.

Keep in mind, the more you give positive feedback regarding something the more likely you are to see it continue and increase

International Potluck Dinner

This year’s International Dinner is quickly approaching!

The dinner will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from  5:30p.m. – 7:00p.m., it will be a potluck affair.

This means that  we are asking all of our attending C.P. Smith families to dig into  your family recipes to create and share one special recipe from  your own cultural heritage.

A dish with a serving size of a  minimum of 6-8 people is ideal. Due to the nature of the dinner, it is very important to receive an RSVP indicating how many family  members will be attending and what category of food you would  like to share.

Food will be served from 5:30pm-6:30pm and the dinner itself will  end at 7:00pm.
